There’s been some interest in Randy’s diet since Joe graciously brought it up on Friday night. Randy is the most coachable athlete I’ve ever seen and is always refining his training and skill set to learn more and improve. This is not just with nutrition but with his mental skills, technique, cross training and rest and recovery.
There were three primary changes made to his diet:
1. We increased the amount of water rich, green leafy vegetables. Each morning and every meal started with greens. He also drank an alkalizing greens supplement (Light force Greens) three times a day.
2. The sugar and processed grains in his diet were decreased. One carbohydrate supplement he was using was almost entirely sugar.
3. The amount of red meat and poultr
y was decreased and replaced with fish and dairy was totally eliminated.
