PRIDE Fighting Championships: First, Sakuraba vs. Silva.
Kevin Randleman: Sakuraba will win, without a doubt. It seems like he hasn't been able to train right for the last few matches. He looked tired, especially for the match with Nino. But, he's got good teammates and I think he's going to come with some great conditioning this time.
PRIDE: What about the Yoshida vs. Tamura match?
Randleman: Actually, I love to watch Tamura's fights. He's got a lot of skill, standing or on the ground. He's really good, an extremely dangerous fighter. To be honest, I haven't seen Yoshida fight yet but I think Tamura will definitely win.
PRIDE: There's a large weight difference between them.
Randleman: It doesn't matter. I mean, I've taken out guys bigger than me. Size isn't what matters; it's the fighter's heart. Tamura has a strong heart. His teacher was Takada, right? If he learned everything that Takada knows, he will beat Yoshida, without a doubt.
PRIDE: Rampage vs. Arona?
Randleman: Rampage is a great fighter, physically and mentally. His body shape is similar to Arona and I think it's going to be a tough fight. But, Rampage is going to win. He beat me, after all! If I were betting, I'd bet on Rampage.
PRIDE: That's right. You lost to Rampage at PRIDE 25.
Randleman: Aaahh, Why did you have to bring that up… I knew about him before we even fought. I knew that he is a really strong fighter. I did lose but he is a warrior that I can respect.
PRIDE: There was a struggle between Rampage and Silva in the ring after your fight with Rampage. You jumped to Rampage's side, didn't you?
Randleman: It doesn't matter who comes, I'll be on Rampage's side. He's a fellow American and that's what teammates do.
PRIDE: Teammate?
Randleman: Actually, we are training at the same gym now. It's called SOLIZ. They've got a great coach there. He's helped Mark Coleman, Tito Ortiz, Rico Rodriguez, etc., become champions. He's our teacher. It's the same as Tamura. There's a strong future for someone who has a strong past.
PRIDE: Ok, what about Chuck vs. Alistair?
Randleman: This is a really good match-up. I think it's going to be a good fight but the answer is simple. Chuck will win because he also beat me.
PRIDE: How do you think the final match will turn out?
Randleman: It's just my opinion but I think it will be Rampage versus Chuck. And, I think Rampage will win. He's young and he's got great standup skills.
PRIDE: …So, what you are saying is that fighters that beat you are strong?
Randleman: Is that a joke? Of course! If they can beat me, they are strong but if we fight again, I won't lose.
PRIDE: I see.
Randleman: Ah, I forgot one thing. It will be no surprise no matter who wins the tournament but there is one guy who cannot win this tournament. Silva! He doesn't have respect for any fighter. Silva, you aren't the champ anymore. Your time is over!
